Monthly All Levels Vinyasa Yoga
Heated (the fireplace will be going!)
Friday from 5:30-6:45pm
All-Levels Vinyasa Yoga is a 75 minute class consisting of a well-rounded, fluid sequence of postures integrating breath, alignment, and philosophy. Vinyasa yoga is a style of yoga that focuses on linking movement with breath to help calm the mind so that the student can enter into an alert, yet relaxed state. Students can expect to start each class with focused breathing followed by a slow warm up to prepare the body for more dynamic movements. The class ends with a cool down before entering into final relaxation (savasana). The goal is for students to leave their mats with a sense of ease and openness in both body and mind.

About Your Instructor:
Kristin Wetzel was first introduced to the world of yoga when entering her first year of college in Reno, Nevada in 2006. Kristin considers yoga her first love and she credits this system for helping to free her from disordered eating & severe anxiety. Kristin was enamored by the spaciousness she experienced on her yoga mat in both body and mind. She desired to share this feeling with others, so she traveled to India in 2011 & 2019 to complete her 500HR YTT. Kristin’s pursuit to live with greater courage, presence, and love- both on and off the yoga mat- are at the root of her practices and offerings.
Monday Evenings from 6-7pm
Barre is a low-impact, high-intensity workout that blends key elements of Pilates, yoga, and strength training, to strengthen and tone the whole body. During class, you’ll use high reps and low weight (2-5 lbs)- in addition to resistance bands and pilates balls- to bring your muscles to absolute fatigue, creating a healthy, full-body burn that will enhance how you move in everyday life. This 60-minute class is accessible for all body types and fitness levels. Modifications are provided and breaks are encouraged.

About Your Instructor:
Kristin began consistently practicing barre prior to becoming pregnant with her son, Leo in 2020. Barre was another form of movement that helped Kristin develop greater body awareness and strength. Over time, Kristin began to notice changes in her body that she had never experienced. Her posture and core support improved; she felt stronger and more empowered in her body; and her confidence increased as she noticed that she could almost make it through an entire barre class without taking hundreds of breaks. The many benefits of barre that Kristin experienced inspired her to complete an online teacher training while she was 24-weeks pregnant with Adrienne Rabena in 2021. Barre, in addition to yoga, helped Kristin regain strength, endurance and mobility postpartum. She hopes her classes help her students discover their own inner and outer strength.

Integrative Breathing Therapy (IBT) is a comprehensive and evidence-based program, that focuses on using the breath in various ways to promote health and healing. The functions of breathing go beyond moving air in and out of the lungs. Breathing has therapeutic, homeostatic, regulatory, psychophysiological, and spiritual functions. About Your Instructor:
Kristin completed the Integrative Breathing Therapy (IBT) for professionals training with Dr. Rosalba Courtney PhD in 2022. Kristin knew from her personal experience- and through years of practicing various yogic breathing techniques- that how we breathe affects how we feel and our physical state. We can therefore change how we breathe to enhance our physical and mental well-being. The knowledge Kristin gained during her IBT training helped to link ancient practices with modern science to help explain the ‘why’ behind the effectiveness of different breathing techniques. Since completing her IBT training, Kristin has used this approach to help clients who struggle with stress, overwhelm, anxiety, back pain, vocal cord dysfunction, mouth breathing, and respiratory issues. She also implements these techniques into her own life to help promote the health of her body and mind.
This practice-based workshop will incorporate breathing, opening, and strengthening exercises to support your development of deep core strength so you can move with greater confidence, stability and ease.
